Suitable type of water filter; confusion?
by adminMy small home town is located nearby kaveri river, the drinking water from municipality stored in a giant water tank and supplied to home. I believe that this water tank is not clean enough and often chlorine was added to get them clean.
I want to buy a water filter mainly to get rid of chlorine and any bacteria. I gone through several information, but having lots of confusion that which is suitable filter for my home drinking water.
Here’s my understanding and question.
UV filter: Since kaveri water is exposed always to sun light, is it necessary to have UV filter? or it’s necessary that the water gets contaminated while stored at giant water tank?
RO: Reverse osmosis is known for the best filtration? but this one removes all the minerals from water which is necessary for our body. or the minerals from other sources like food is sufficient for our body?
Just get a PUR filter that attaches to your drinking faucet or under the sink or something simple. It’ll take care of any sediment in the water and chlorine too. Don’t really need a UV filter for water IMO.
