what is the best way to filter home drinking water?
by adminwe currently use brita filter for our drinking water…i heard that the filter placed on sink is much more effective
The best home drinking filter is the one that will be independently certified systems. Most of Brita filters are NSF-certified but if you are more than two people in a family, it’s better to go for a countertop or undersink filter. Also, compare the cost of replacement filters because the price of a filter may be low initially but the cost of annual replacement filters can be high. In addition, you want to know what’s in your water before you buy because you don’t want to go for a famous filter if it cannot resolve your water problems.
If you really want to compare "apples to apples," you may use the excel spreadsheet located at http://www.waterfilters-camping-water-purifier.com/compare-water-filters.html
I don’t know if it’s more effective, but it’s certainly more convenient. I’ve used both, and I tended to get lazy about filling the pitcher and changing the filters on time. Not a problem with a sink filter, and the water tastes just as good.

it all depends on what the smallest thing the filter can filter. like if you look on an air filter for an air vent you will see something like 1.23×10^-6 (or 1.23µm) that is the maximum size of smallest thing it can filter out, so compare them by that.

Sink filters are more convenient, but the brita pitchers work just a s well. It’s just a matter of having to replace the filter so often and remembering to fill it.

I have a refrigerator water filter, specifically Frigidaire PureSource Ultra. I can definitely taste the difference in the water and the product description says that it filters out a lot of different things, so in my experience, refrigerator water filters are the way to go. Those pitcher filters can sometimes make the water taste weird and they have to be changed pretty frequently, depending on how much stuff is in your water.
